RicNic is a theatre-based charity which helps young people to develop their confidence and key skills through participation in various arts and performance projects. They needed a designer to develop their outdated logo and website, in order to better engage with their key audiences and relaunch in 2022 with a fresh new brand.
They were keen to maintain some visual consistency with the original logo so I retained the basic shape but redrew the characters and added in further detail to improve legibility. I also introduced a palette of bright colours to pair with the existing dark grey and yellow.
They also required a subset of the main logo for each of the four programmes offered by RicNic. These were created by associating each programme with one of the brand colours and using a clear typographic list style to identity each programme within the group.
I went on to design a new website which combined the bright new colours and branding along with black and white photography. I streamlined the site pages, created a consistent grid template and  introduced a speech bubble graphic to house testimonials.
Finally I built a simple set of user guidelines for the new brand to be supplied to participants in the marketing team.
"We were so fortunate to find Hilary at the point that we needed to rebrand. She managed to take all of our ideas and consolidate them into a coherent, bright and appealing set of brand assets. Throughout the whole process Hilary was able to adapt and respond quickly to our needs. We cannot thank her enough for the time, care and thought she put into making RicNic's logo and website stand out."
